One of the complaints with FS19 was the lack of Canadian based maps. So far, the same can not be said for FS22 with a number of Canadian maps being released and Bloomfield is the next to come off the production line. Nice regular shaped fields makes working with AI helpers a breeze, with a variety of options for sell points, productions and the like. 5 out of 5 from Farmer Klein is high praise, but don’t let that convince you, play it yourself and let me know what you think.

A first ever foray into map making by Brummie Farmer and they have created a fantastic fictional UK map. A wide variety of field sizes, narrow lanes, deep streams and water ways with all the production features and sell points scattered across with a central farm yard makes for a delightful map.

Set in New Jersey, East Vineland is a map with a variety of custom features, with additional fill types (cracked corn and corn meal) straw swatch for canola and soybeans and mowable bushes to name a few. Add to that over 100 fields, all with field missions, various custom yards and a variety of production points this map has something for everyone.

Stone Valley was a hugely popular map in FS19, and Lancy Boi has worked his magic to bring it back to FS22, with some of the original feel of the map, along with some improvements and updates. A great mix of field sizes with some regular shapes and others intersected by waterways. There are multiple farm yards with animals built in giving plenty of options for an all American farmer.

Willamina was a favourite “start from scratch” forestry map in FS19 and is back, better than ever for FS22. With two clear areas, the smaller land mass which is populated with a starting farm, shop, sell points, and new for FS22 a stone mine. Two bridges run across the river and there ends the access to the larger land area. From there on it is pioneering at its finest. Gentle rolling land makes it easier to form fields without drastic landscaping. The starter farm includes a small field as well as a small clearing of grassland. It takes a brave person to tackle Willamina, so, show us how brave you are.

The name really says it all for this one - its small, you can have cows, and there is a farm. Compact farming with no need for big equipment, the only big part of this map is the challenge of supporting 1200 cows on the land available. Are you up for the challenge?

Another great looking Polish map, Wosnice has the typical long narrow fields found throughout Poland, with a network of roads linking everything together and small compact farm yards and sell points throughout. This will be ideal for the assortment of Zetor and Ursus mods available.

Another Farming Simulator flashback, this time all the way to FS13 with Westbridge Hills 22. With medium to large regular shaped fields in between hills separating production areas, a town and various farm yards this map has it all. Add in the sentimental value for the mature members of the community this map covers all the bases.

European maps, in particular Polish and East European maps have been dominating the map releases lately and PGR Sliwno is the latest to add to the list. With quite possibly the largest farm setup ever seen in Farm Sim, a huge spacious yard centrally located in the map, with large fields evenly spread across the entire map, everything is readily accessible. Two train systems crisscross the map giving multiple options to sell and transport crops.

Quite possibly the most Polish map released yet, and also the largest this map feels much larger than it is. Numerous fields spread across the map, separated by forest areas gives plenty of scope for farming as well as forestry. A well detailed township borders along the edge of the map, with a variety of sell points scattered across. Experience the uniqueness of Polish fields while still being able to work with larger equipment.

This map is as British as they come, narrow lanes, hedgerows, organic field shapes and farms scattered across the map. Shir Farm has many options for play styles, from small to medium and even larger equipment. With plenty of grass fields scattered amongst the larger arable fields as well as animal pens of all sorts you’ll have plenty to do to keep yourself busy.

A European map with a different feel to others, large open fields, a central yard with production chains and sell points scattered throughout. A small town located centrally gives some opportunities for some role play scenarios. This would be a great map to try out some of the larger European equipment.

A beautiful small farm set in the UK, Somerset Farms has a fantastic variety of fields and farm yards. Perfect for a small farming operation.

Lands of La Mancha is a map of many parts - large open fields, dramatic changes in elevations, smaller unique fields, water ways, pre made vineyards and more, all packed in to a standard size map. As Farmer Klein has accurately reviewed, this is “a land of many opportunities.”

Looking for a big dairy or sheep farm, with easy square fields and flat terrain, then Cow Farm is the map for you. The basic concept is simple and the implementation in the map is equally so but this does give lots of scope to develop the farm further how you want to.

Head back to Lapacho Farm, the map released with the platinum edition of FS17. Complete with all new features, including production chains, multiple sell points, an active train, forestry, farming and town area, this will give you those nostalgic feels while still having the FS22 charm.

Map releases seem to follow an unintentional trend, and recently we have seen this trend towards “micro maps” - compact small European themed maps appearing on modhub. Brombach is no exception to this trend. Based on a real area of Germany, Brombach is smaller than a standard 1x but still contains a whole lot of farming with plenty of production chains, sell points and fields.

Gelderland is a Dutch based map released for all platforms with good sized regular shaped fields sprinkled with some angled field boundaries to provide some variety. Ditches line the roads and fields as you would expect to find in the Netherlands, with its low lying flat topography.
